Celebrating International Argane Day

On the occasion of International Argane Day, celebrated on 10 May 2026, the Kasbah of Agadir Oufella hosted a day of cultural and artistic activities organized by SDR Tourisme Souss Massa in partnership with the Tissaliwine Argane Union.

The celebration highlighted the argane tree as a symbol of the natural heritage of the Souss Massa Region through an interactive programme open to the public. Visitors, tourists, artisans, artists and children took part in a variety of activities, including live argan nut cracking demonstrations with audience participation, as well as a live painting workshop during which children created artworks inspired by the occasion.

Through this initiative, SDR Tourisme Souss Massa reaffirms its commitment to promoting the region’s heritage and enhancing the cultural and entertainment offering of the Agadir Souss Massa destination.
