Agadir Oufella Kasbah hosted the immersive show “Nostalgia, Emotions of the Past”, organized under the high patronage of His Majesty King Mohammed VI, may God assist him, from July 23 to 27, 2025, by the Ministry of Youth, Culture, and Communication.

The event was inaugurated in the presence of the Head of Government, the Minister of Youth, Culture, and Communication, the Wali of the Souss Massa region, and the President of the Souss Massa Regional Council, in a memorable moment that marked the official launch of this pioneering cultural and artistic experience.

Over the course of five days, the audience experienced an exceptional sensory journey blending historical memory with modern visual technologies and innovative direction. The program featured three daily performances, taking visitors on a tour of Moroccan history and heritage through live scenography, light shows, and immersive musical creations.

This initiative reflects the shared commitment of various stakeholders to make Agadir Oufella Kasbah a reference space for cultural and tourist outreach, a center for preserving memory, and a platform to strengthen the regional identity of the Souss Massa region.

Agadir Oufella Kasbah celebrated its first anniversary since reopening on February 3, 2025, reaffirming its status as a major heritage and tourist site. It was restored within the framework of the Agadir Urban Development Program (2020–2024) under the delegated project management of the Souss Massa Regional Development Agency, and its management is also overseen by the Souss Massa Regional Tourism Agency.

Over the course of one year, the Kasbah welcomed 84,694 visitors, with a majority being Moroccan nationals and residents (64%) and 36% international visitors, mainly from Europe, North America, and Asia, averaging 232 visitors per day. The experience was further enhanced through guided tours, audio guides available in five languages, and both physical and online ticketing systems.

The site’s activities featured numerous cultural events, including the show “Nostalgia, Emotions of the Past”, which highlighted the history of the Kasbah. Digital promotion was also strengthened through a website, social media platforms, and a mobile application, facilitating access to information and services.

Whatever the season, last admission is one hour before closing time. We therefore advise you to plan your visit accordingly to make the most of your experience.

From July 24th to the 28th, 2024, the Kasbah of Agadir Oufella hosted the new edition of the cultural event “ Nostalgia, emotions of the past “. The event celebrated outstanding times in the history of the Kasbah and the surrounding area. The audience has experienced a multitude of sceneries reconstructing the history of the place through some captivating artistic performances which highlighted various elements of the local cultural heritage. 

The event coincided with Agadir’s peak of tourist activity, thus contributing positively to the high attendance rate which included both local and international visitors. This initiative provided a rehearsal of the intangible cultural heritage of the  area reinforcing a sense of belonging and cultural peculiarity. 

The second edition has also been particularly marked by the involvement of the local population in weaving the strings linking the past to the present , enriching thereby the experience of visiting the Kasbah of Agadir Oufella.

In addition to information panels on the history of the Kasbah d’Agadir Oufella, a mediation and audioguide service is available to visitors.

The audioguides, available in 5 languages (Arabic, Tachelhit, English, Spanish and French), enable visitors to explore the Kasbah and hear first-hand accounts of each chapter in the fortress’s history. This service is available via audioguides that visitors can use on site, as well as through a mobile application that allows them to follow the tour on their smartphones.

From Agadir, the Kasbah can be reached using tourist transport, the cable car, the dedicated bus, a cab or by taking the 2.8 km hiking trail.
